The titles of my posts sometimes could also be exchanged with titles of books that I hope to write. In “Ten things Google has found to be true,” point number six is titled “You can make money without doing evil.” The question really asks, “Why are you in business,” right?
In my pursuit to change the world through business, I have had to ask myself this question. I think everyone needs to ask themselves this in whatever it is that they do. If you are in a line of work that doesn’t challenge you to “change the world,” I would recommend switching gears and finding something that does. Changing the world doesn’t have to be literal. But focus on “changing the landscape” — that’s enough.
Though I am critical of podcasting, I am a big fan of data delivery using XML. Don’t focus on the technical nature of XML. Just think of it as a delivery mechanism that happens to deliver audio to your favorite podcast client.
Anyway, back to podcasts — I listen to the Venture Voice podcast and love it. (Though I blogged about how static podcasting was and that the business models aren’t quite there yet, I still enjoy them.)
If you’re half-way interested in VC or entrepreneurship, you need to listen to Venture Voice, but specifically, you need to listen to the interview with Brad Feld of Mobius Venture Capital and Joe Kraus of JotSpot. Here’s the link to add VV it via iTunes 4.9.

refresh my memory on how it is that you are changing the landscape? I’m curious. I know that I’m working on changing my own landscape. Just looking for similarities and/or ideas.
I can’t really go into how I am trying “to change the landscape.” All I can say is that I have had my “aha moment.”
well, i guess that’s better than having an “achoo” moment, unless of course during your “aha” moment you managed to cover someone in green snot
