Rolling Stones

First take: “A Bigger Bang”

I got a copy of the forthcoming Stones record entitled “A Bigger Bang” today. I listened to live bootlegs of the Fenway show held on August 21. The recording itself wasn’t from the soundboard, so it wasn’t optimal quality, but it leaves one to imagine how much fun the show must have been. It’s remarkable that The Rolling Stones continue to produce the quality of music that they do AND manage to tour. I don’t mention this in light of their age necessarily, but in reference to the quality and quantity of music that they’ve managed to put out over the years. In short, “A Bigger Bang” rocks.

Immediate standout tracks:

“Let Me Down Slow”
“Streets Of Love”
“Sweet Neo Con”
