Earthquake Glue Revisited, Edison’s Demos

by Raj on October 30, 2005

I wore out Earthquake Glue when it was first released by listening to it daily. It became a self-study that no normal person should encounter. I eventually grew tired and worn from the repeated listens and was not able to play it since. That changed today. I listened to Earthquake Glue in addition to Edison’s Demos, the Earthquake Glue demos. I love listening to demo recordings of proper records that I love. It gives you an insight into the thought that occured to produce the end result. Or maybe that’s BS and it’s just fun to listen and compare recordings of the same song. Maybe that’s what makes cover songs fun when performed tastefully. In any case, Earthquake Glue made for a great evening riding around Atlanta.

I need to hear Edison’s Demos eventually, what with Earthquake Glue being my favorite GBV lp and all.
