I love Japanese melon drinks that is. Ever since visiting Japan a few times for work and pleasure I fell victim to the addiction of Japanese melon drinks served from the many vending machines. The choices are plenty, but the true quality was limited to a particular few. But for the life of me, I can’t remember which specific drink was the one to be had as a morning refresher. I spent hours recently trying to isolate the search to a few drinks in hopes that I could order a couple of cases for coming events but no luck.
If only I could find a Mechanical Turk that could somehow compare photographs of melon drinks to an in-memory database (my brain) that’s unfortunately performed waaay too much garbage collection over the years. This would need to happen somewhat programmatically, of course using my set of robust and rich web services API implemented using SOA and AJAX.
