I’m not sure why I bother reading his blog when it feels like I’ve read his posts before. Actually, I have read some of his posts elsewhere. They seem to come from his recent book, “The Art Of The Start.”

Just read his books and you can skip his blog. Personally, I think it’s a little lame on his part to user really similar copy material verbatim from his book for his blog posts. Show some effort.

I challenge you to find any verbatim lifting of my book to my blog. I explain for all the world to see what I do:

There are 100,000 books in print. That still leaves a few folks who can read my material and see it as brand new even if it was simply lifted–which it's not.

Okay, so verbatim it’s not. But the similarities are too striking to feel like I’m reading original content.

The entire company naming post: http://blog.guykawasaki.com/2006/02/the_name_game.html

seems rather similar to page 35, “The Art Of The Start.”

And you’re right — it’s new to somebody.

And just for good measure, I wrote about the book in August:

I mean, it’s your blog so write about whatever you want but I’m just sayin’….
