The final coat of paint went onto the ‘02 while I was in India. It needs to be buffed once or twice before the exterior is complete. There are a few interior rust spots that need to be fixed as well before the new carpet gets installed. Afterwards, there won’t be a single spot of rust on this 37 year-old car.
Compare the last two pictures to get an idea of what we started with and where we are today.

The car is looking good Raj. When are you going to get it back?
I have stopped getting my hopes up on dates considering the restoration shop has had the car in their possession for nearly 2 years. With the current state of the car, I’ll probably have it just in time to enjoy the nice weather in Atlanta before winter. A black car without A/C in Atlanta isn’t the most comfortable car to be in anyway.
Wow, I can’t believe that is the same car that Roy tore up some Oregon highway with, front end jacked up, back end dropped, rock in roll sign on an outstreatched arm, while David and I kept one eye on you guys yelling down the road and the other eye on two truckers who were discussing where to hide our bodies when they were finished with us.
